Bit8 workforce expanding rapidly

Following Intralot’s acquisition of 35% stake in sportsbook and casino platform Bit8, the latter is growing at a fast pace to become one of the industry’s leading casino, sports book and lottery platforms.

Bit8 is based in Ta’Xbiex, Malta and currently has over 20 new career opportunities for  software developers, account managers, business analysts and content writers.

Greame Newman

Graeme Newman  is the Chief Innovation Officer at CFC Underwriting, a specialist lines underwriting agency based in the UK and backed by a number of Lloyd’s syndicates. The company distributes its products through brokers in 20 countries around the world including America, Australia, Canada, and the UK.

For the past 15 years, Graeme immersed himself in the world of technology. From his early career as a consultant for Deloitte working on pioneering internet security projects with the UK Ministry of Defence to his most recent role at CFC working on insurance products for new technology and emerging risks.

At CFC Underwriting, Graeme has been heavily involved in the development of a variety of new insurance products designed to protect companies against the growing number of exposures they face as the use of the internet and technology in business increases. In particular he has focused on the creation of our new cyber product aimed at large corporate customers, which includes innovative new areas such as system failures (from all non-physical perils) and technology supply chain failure.

Graeme is also an avid online poker player.

Itai Zak

Itai Zak is a visionary iGaming executive with vast experience in providing commercial, operational and technical leadership for innovative B2C and B2B gaming organizations. He’s the CEO of a fast growing Bucharest-based operator GoWild Gaming.

Prior to his current role at GoWild, Itai served as the CEO of SBTech. He was in charge of driving the company’s strategy and vision through the operational and commercial management of over 300 employees in the SBTech group.

Bradley J. Wiskirchen

Bradley J. Wiskirchen is the CEO of Keynetics and Kount and the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Clickbank.

Wiskirchen joined Keynetics in 2005. His skills and experience in business, technology and law give Keynetics an edge in strategic planning and negotiation in the Internet sector. Under his guidance Keynetics has become one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest privately held technology companies. Kount has become the premier fraud prevention solution for card-not-present merchants, and affiliate marketing giant ClickBank has grown to be one of the world’s largest online retailers.

Among his many industry and community involvements, Wiskirchen serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Salt Lake City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. He is also the co-founder and former Chair of the Idaho Software Employers Alliance (ISEA) which merged with the Idaho Technology Council (ITC) in 2010. Additionally, Wiskirchen has held board positions with the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, Boise State University Office of Technology Transfer, FUNDSY, Discovery Center of Idaho, Intermountain Venture Forum and many other organizations.

Niclas Lundqvist

Niclas Lundqvist is the VP Sales of Goo Technologies, the pioneers of WebGL in Hmtl5. He’s been an entrepreneur in the iGaming industry for more than 12 years founding PokerEvent early 2003 and since then been involved in companies like iGame, Relax Gaming and more. Niclas went from customer to become full-time involved in Goo Technologies 1,5 years ago and works closely with many iGaming operators such as LeoVegas, MrGreen, Casumo – creating digital campaigns, experiences and web assets.

Goo has created a cutting-edge engine plus a cloud based creation tool for companies around the world to create web content without limitations and plug-ins. Marc Kenigsberg

Marc Kenigsberg is an advocate for cryptocurrency and one of the world’s leading Bitcoin affiliates. The founder of BitcoinChaser.com, and a firm believer in Bitcoin, Marc also operates various Bitcoin websites and projects.

Marc is a veteran of the gambling industry with 15 years experience in various marketing roles, including being responsible for marketing at some of the largest Playtech and Microgaming licensees.

He has spoken at numerous events in the past, Including the London Affiliate Show, Ice Totally Gaming, as well as the Bitcoin conference held last May in Prague. He also advised gaming operators and businesses on strategy and marketing activities.

Joakim Stockman

Joakim Stockman is the Group CEO of Malta based iGaming operator Betit Group which was established in early 2013. Betit Group operates the brands Thrills.com and SuperLenny.com and are rumoured to have a third site in the pipeline. Joakim left the Betsson Group, where he was in charge of Betsafe, in April 2013 and joined Betit Group as the first employee and has since seen the company grow rapidly to 60 employees and revenues above 50 k EUR per day.

Betit Group’s rapid expansion quickly became the talk of the industry and not long ago iGaming giant GVC secured 15 % of the shares in the company through a 3.5 m EUR investment with an option to acquire the remaining shares at a minimum of 70 m EUR. Whether the Betit Group will go from “Zero to Hero” is perhaps not yet a certainty, but they are certainly one of the companies who are currently taking a very good crack at it.

Monroe Schmidt

Monroe Schmidt is one of the directors of Amaya. The company recently hit world headlines for its majoy acquisition, Poker Stars. Mr. Schmidt has worked in an anti-fraud capacity within the online gaming industry since early 2007 and his experiences and training gained have equipped him with all the necessary tools and insights to battle crime cyber-crime.

As Amaya director and head of the company’s Fraud Department, Mr. Schmidt covers the following responsibilities

  • Review all processes, operations and procedures adopted by, or delegated by, the relevant subsidiaries for the purposes of ensuring that these comply with the conditions of the license, as well any other applicable rules and regulations;
  • Monitor all transactions conducted by the relevant subsidiaries and monitor all systems used to manage the compliance of the business;
  • Ensure that the Relevant Subsidiaries comply with all laws and regulations applicable in the countries and jurisdictions where any of the Relevant Subsidiaries holds a gaming license in or operates;
  • Monitor the complaints log maintained by the Relevant Subsidiaries to determine if customer complaints are being dealt with in a timely and effective manner;
  • Monitor key internal operational and support processes within the control system so as to ascertain the levels of compliance of the Company and the Relevant Subsidiaries;
  • Submit Gaming taxes to the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta;
  • Compile and submit monthly figures reporting to the Gaming Authority of Malta;
  • Ensure all incident reports are reported to the Lottery and gaming authority;
  • Ensure to grant appropriate approval to third parties who require access to servers;
  • Ensure system and processes are compliant based on Lottery and gaming standards;
  • Inform common Board of Directors with any impending problems connected with or involving the Subsidiaries’ actions relating to especially but not limited to corporate, regulatory and business matters, any threatened or actual disputes, litigation, investigations, penalties, as well as administrative or official notices or communications from government agencies, departments, authorities or otherwise relating to or involving the Subsidiaries and provide the Company and the respective Subsidiaries with all details relating thereto.

Mr. Schmidt is ideally placed to discuss such an interesting and important sector of online commerce.
