Videoslots Is Planning To Launch A New 3D Poker Product

New 3D poker game with assets from PKR estate

After, Videoslots.com, the leading operator for online casinos, acquired technology assets from PKR estate earlier this year, the company plans to introduce a 3D poker product.

The 3D poker product will be launched in the upcoming year. The basis of this agreement is the supply of Videoslots for clients of Android, iOS, Mac and PKR’s PC.

First, Videoslot’s players have the ability to access the application in a downloadable version, for which soon after a web version is planned.

As part of the PKR’s 3D poker game players have the ability to create their individualised 3D avatars. Furthermore, the environment of the game was designed in a very realistic manner. These features make the 3D poker game very unique within the poker industry.

Videoslots.com’s CEO, Alexander Stevendahl, stated: “The purchase of PKR’s unique 3D poker clients provides us with the platform to introduce a proven poker product to our customers.

“Videoslots has led the way in shaping the online casino sector in recent years and we will be looking to offer the same innovative experience with our poker product.”

Currently, Videoslots already has a broad product range of more than 2,300 tables games and slots. With the rebrand of the poker offering Videoslots.com will even extent its catalogue.

The 3D poker product, will also complement with “Battle of Slots”. In this game players battle against each other in poker-style lobbies.

PokerStars First to be Granted Online Poker Licence in Portugal

PokerStars, subsidiary company of Amaya and the largest online poker cardroom in the world, is now the first company to be granted a casino and poker licence to operate its website in the Portuguese market.

The Serviços de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ) national regulatory body has confirmed that it has awarded the online poker licence to REEL Europe Ltd – a division of Amaya – who will operate the PokerStars website, Pokerstars.pt.

The new website is currently under development, displaying a “coming soon” splash screen. Following the recent Portuguese gaming laws, however, when the site does eventually launch, betting services will be limited until a deal is struck to share liquidity with other regulated gaming markets within the European Union, such as Italy, Spain and France.

The SRIJ licence entitles PokerStars to offer tournament poker, Hold’em and Omaha cash games, as well as Blackjack and Roulette. The new website will mark the first time for Portuguese players to be able to gamble legally on PokerStars since the company left the market in July 2015 following the country’s adoption of new gambling regulation.

PokerStars made its official debut in Bulgaria’s new regulated market and was joined earlier this month by Bet365’s iPoker skin. The duo has now been joined by GVC Holdings’ Bwin.party, which launched a Bulgarian-licenced poker site under its Bwin brand. The company has informed players that held Bwin poker accounts before the country imposed its new licensing regime where their old account info is no longer valid and they must open a new account.

Unibet Launches their Poker 2.0 on December 1

Unibet, the Stockholm-listed online gambling company launches their biggest promotion to date with the release of Unibet Poker 2.0 which is scheduled to hit the market on December 1, 2016.

Unibet made the daring move back in February 2014 of moving away from Microgaming Poker network and launching its own stand-alone Relax Gaming powered poker network. Now the company celebrates the launch of its second version titled Unibet Poker 2.0 to its customers.

The ‘fastest growing online poker room in the world’ gave a sneak peek of the new software back in August this year at the Unibet Open in Copenhagen where they unveiled their new and improved one of a kind poker gaming experience. A closed beta testing was then done with a selected group of players to iron out any issues that may pop up. The original launch was October 3rd but it was pushed back to December to make sure everything ran smoothly ensuring the best quality and experience for their customers.

Their confidence and excitement in this new software have prompted them to go on a splurge with the promotion which will be accompanied by an ‘Around the World’ promotion that entails €250,000 handout in pre-Christmas goodies. The major prize here will be a two ticket, 28-day around the world trip giveaway with the winners flying business class to see the Seven Wonders of the World. The package has a value of over €35k.

The promotion goes on to have 33 players winning trips of a lifetime and a thousand other players receiving an array of goodies. These treats include live tickets to the Unibet Open Main Event where they will receive the opportunity of playing poker under the supervision of the Unibet Tournament Director and former World Series of Poker November Nine member, Kenny Hallaert.

The Unibet Poker 2.0 presents a software that is built mostly on HTML5 platform instead of Adobe Air like the first version which should reduce the crashes that were experienced in the first one. In addition to this, it boasts of a new loyalty scheme, integrated missions, improved graphics, multi-table options on mobile and tablet and lots more designed to please the Unibet poker player.

Head of Poker at Unibet, Andrew West stated in a press release: “Unibet Poker 2.0 was built from the ground up and designed to provide us with a foundation upon which we can seamlessly add in-game features to continuously provide the best experience possible for all of our players,”

“We’re looking forward to collecting feedback on the new software and hope that our players will see the potential for 2017 and beyond,” he said.

PokerGrant and EvenBet Gaming Start a New Poker Network

Poker operator with Maltese license and gaming software vendor ally for a new iGaming project – real money poker network. Since 2015, PokerGrant has been a headline EvenBet Gaming software customer.

The new network will be attractive for poker startups with a low initial budget but high ambitions. Due to relatively low setup costs and rake commissions, it allows poker rooms to spend more on players’ engagement and retention, and get more profit. In addition, this business model helps escape licensing problems that usually slow online poker projects launch. Existing poker rooms may also join a network to increase the revenue and players’ loyalty, on condition of migration to EvenBet Gaming poker software.

Main terms for network partners

With new PokerGrant and EvenBet Gaming offer, a customer may start a poker room within two weeks from zero. Initial setup fee includes adding a new partner to network, two types of poker client software (desktop and mobile for Android), back office and basic software customization – changing a logo, colors, and other minor design changes.

PokerGrant gaming server has a Maltese license issued in 2013; the company is registered in Malta as RMI Limited. Network partners that will use this server will not need additional licensing to accept players from most jurisdictions.

No fixed payments are required for network partners. Current offer includes only rake commission from 10% to 20% of gross total rake that is paid monthly.

Why starting a network?

It is a logical step in PokerGrant project development. Since its start, the poker room has launched loyalty program and bonus program for players, agents and affiliates program for gaming websites, media, and communities. It has functional and well-designed desktop and mobile apps (note that users may play real money games mobile as well) with a bunch of custom features like Spin-and-Go tournaments and opponents’ statistics.

888poker Signs the World’s Greatest Online Tournament Player

888poker yesterday announced that Chris Moorman, the best player in the history of online poker tournaments, has been newly signed as an ambassador for the brand.

With more than $13 million in winnings as well as a record breaking 25 triple crowns, it’s no surprise that he would be in demand to represent a prominent internet site such as 888poker.

Moorman, now easily found online under his new screen-name “888moorman”, spoke about the opportunity to join the site, saying: “My manager started speaking with an 888 representative and when she proposed the idea to me I was incredibly excited. 888 is doing big things and really is working hard to expand their reach in poker. Things like sponsoring the WSOP and the Super High Roller Bowl have shown they are committed to their growth of the brand and I can’t wait to see what they have coming up in the future.”

Back in February, as a member of the Global Poker League’s London Royals, Moorman topped a field of 777 entries to win the 888 Sunday Challenge for $18,840. Not only was this the score that put him above the celebrated $13 million mark in online tournament winnings, but it also marked his second largest score on the site; he had won the same event on 20th December 2015 for $19,720.

His biggest online cash ever was in 2011 when he finished third in the Full Tilt Poker Special $1,000 Monday event with $235,592; marking one of his four six-figure online scores.

The signing comes exactly one year after 888poker brought Dominik Nitsche on. Moorman is excited to join him, as well as the likes of Kara Scott, Sofia Lövgren, and former Brazilian World Cup star Denilson, as members of Team 888poker.

“They are all great players and ambassadors of the game,” Moorman said. “Also they all gave such a warm welcome to the team and I am excited to represent the site alongside them. Dominik is one of the best players in the world; to have won 3 bracelets at his age is an incredible achievement. I’ve known Kara for a long time and [she] does an incredible job presenting and is a great poker player as well.”

Moorman also revealed that he will start streaming some 888poker final tables on Twitch, which his many fans will surely follow.

Unibet Poker to Become an Online Poker Network

Unibet Poker departed from the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN) a little over two years ago in order to launch its own standalone poker client powered by Relax Gaming.

By adding the Finnish online poker room Pokerihoune, which has coincidentally been operating as a skin on MPN, Unibet is going to turn itself into an online poker network very soon. Following an upgrade to the Unibet Poker software, the migration is expected to take place on the 2nd May.

Supposedly, Pokerihoune players will have an experience almost identical to that of Unibet players once completed, with the poker rooms sharing liquidity in all games through the same tournaments and ring-games, as well as featuring an identical VIP program and promotions.

The liquidity sharing was facilitated by Unibet Poker’s acquisition of iGame last summer, which is believed to be very much centred around other profitable gaming verticals such as bingo, online casino and sports wagering. This, however, also provides the company with a unique opportunity to become more than simply a standalone site.

According to the PokerScout Online Poker Traffic Report, Unibet Poker is currently ranked as the 12th largest poker network. The immediate impact on the iGaming giant is expected to be somewhat minor since Pokerihoune is not one of the larger poker clients on MPN currently. A successful migration, however, could lead the site to add other skins in the near future.

Some might think that Stan James Poker, whose parent company was acquired by Unibet a month prior to the iGame acquisition, could be another potential future target to join the network following a successful migration. It may be possible however that the firm, if it so chooses, will allow skins that aren’t controlled by its company, although nothing has been formally announced as yet.

Understandably, Unibet Poker is excited about the migration from being a standalone client to an online network. The poker room’s Head of Poker Andrew West admitted, however, that it didn’t come easy, stating that is was “a lot of work to have another skin operating on the same software.”
