Yggdrasil Gaming plans to boost players engagement and retention over the festive season with the release of their €200,000 Christmas Calendar Campaign.

This new campaign entails running 31 daily campaigns which will showcase their BOOST in-game promotional tool collection along with their social sharing tool BRAG. EveryMatrix Appoints Matthew Colledge as New CTO

Leading iGaming software provider EveryMatrix has updated the market, confirming the appointment of Matthew Colledge as its new Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Industry IT veteran Colledge is joining EveryMatrix operations from sports betting solutions provider Offsidegaming, where he led the technology and product development departments as CTO between 2011 and 2016.

Cherry iGaming Subsidiary Obtains UK Gaming Licence

Cherry iGaming subsidiary PlayCherry Ltd has been granted a local UK gaming licence for gaming operators from the Gambling Commission.

The company will initially use this licence for CherryCasino.com as its flagship brand, which can now officially be launched in the UK.

Recently relaunched white-label gaming website EuroSlots will also be rolled out shortly after. Meanwhile, iGaming brand Sunmaker, which has always been popular with international players, will be the third one launched into the UK gaming market.

This latest announcement comes as part of Cherry iGaming’s strategy to expand into new regulated jurisdictions. The operator will use its brands to reap the benefits from the UK market, which is known to be one of the largest regulated markets across the globe.

CEO at Cherry iGaming, Jonas Wåhlander, commented on the announcement, saying: “This is an additional step in the evolvement of Cherry iGaming. Through a wide offering we will have a brand for every key customer segment in the UK market, encompassing all types of products to engage with them.”

iSoftBet Forms Partnership with Amatic Industries

Yggdrasil Gaming Records Impressive Results for Q3

Superior online and mobile casino games provider Yggdrasil Gaming has reported rapid growth for Q3, with revenue climbing 299% year-on-year to SEK21 million.

EBIDTA for the quarter shot up to SEK9.2 million, compared to SEK1.9 million in 2015, while EBIDTA margin amounted to 44%.

The number of players also grew dramatically during Q3, with the number of transactions increasing 427% to 438 million.

During the third quarter, Yggdrasil launched its social media sharing tool, BRAG, and also appointed Frida Gustafsson as CFO, which are of note in the company’s quarter performance.

Yggdrasil CEO Fredrik Elmqvist commented: “It has been yet another hugely successful and action-packed three months for Yggdrasil, and we now have a fantastic team in place that is fast establishing us as the industry’s number one online casino supplier.

“Yggdrasil remains in a phase of rapid expansion, as displayed by the quarter’s surging revenue growth. While the immediate results have been impressive, it is equally important that we lay the foundations for sustainable, long-term growth.”

He went on to say: “We are expected to continue growing much faster than the market and we will carry on investing in our business while also delivering results moving forward.”

He also noted the importance of expanding into regulated markets that Yggdrasil has undertaken, commenting: “Our commitment to regulated markets saw us acquire licences to provide our content to operators in Romania, where we will go live shortly.

“We are a relatively late mover in terms of regulated markets, but we are catching up fast, and will continue to enter regulated markets that make commercial sense.”

LeoVegas Publishes Strong Third Quarter Results

Swedish mobile gaming company and online casino provider LeoVegas has announced its third quarter report ending 30th September, posting its highest ever revenue so far of €39.7 million, up 76% year-on-year.

The Nasdaq First North-listed company reported EBIDTA of €9.8 million – a margin of 25% – attributed to reducing its marketing-to-revenue ratio from 60% to 36% over the quarter, as planned in the company’s second quarter report earlier in the year.

With deposits from customers reaching €39.7 million – an increase of 87% compared to the 23% in the second quarter – the growth is considered to be entirely organic.

Gross profit for the third quarter increased to €31.1 million, corresponding to a gross margin of 78.3%.

Announcing its long-term goals, LeoVegas said that it is determined to reach €300 million in revenue by 2018. The operator also wants to achieve an EBIDTA margin of 15% within the same year.

LeoVegas CEO and Co-founder Gustaf Hagman commented: “The launches of LeoVegas Sport and LeoVegas Live Casino have laid the foundation for strong growth in new customers and gave us considerable momentum into the autumn and third quarter.”

Cherry Announces Strong Q3 results for Online Gaming

Cherry AB, Swedish gambling operator has announced that they have grown “substantially faster than the market” in the Q3 results (three months to September 30, 2016) after recording widespread financial growth.

Revenue for this third quarter amounted to SEK214 million (€21.4 million/$23.8 million), up 39% from 2015.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) totaled SEK30.9 million (€2.1 million/$3.3 million) an increase of 78% from the same quarter last year.

Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) rose to SEK21.5 million (€2.1 million/$2.3 million) despite the costs involved in the acquisition of 49% stakes in gambling company ComeOn Malta Ltd with a consideration €80 million earlier in July.

Game Lounge is Cherry’s Malta based newly added subsidiary which handles online marketing within the gambling industry. There was a 167% increase with EBITDA rising by 104% to SEK6 million (€601K/$658K)

Cherry’s game development studio Yggdrasil Gaming jumped in quarterly revenue and EBITDA of SEK9.2 million (€922K/$1 million), an increase of 385% from the same period last year.

Group revenue for the year to September 30 was at SEK583 million (€58.4 million/$64 million) a hike of 64% to the SEK356 million (€35.6 million/$39 million) posted at the same time last year.

EBITDA rocketed 472% year-on-year to SEK714 million (€71.5 million/$78.3 million), EBIT improved from a loss of SEK3.1 million to a positive of SEK45 million (€4.5 million/£4.9 million), with online gaming revenue also up 78%.

Fredrik Burvall, chief executive of Cherry, said: “Cherry continues to grow substantially faster than the market.

“For the third quarter, organic growth amounted to 38% and total growth of 39%. The formula for success is based on the strategy Cherry implemented two years ago, in which we have developed our business areas and added strategic acquisitions of fast-growing companies where the founders and entrepreneurs continue to stay active in the business.

“Today, Cherry is an innovative and fast-growing gaming company, operating across a broad part of the gaming value chain.

“Our business areas provide Cherry with diversified and profitable revenues from four separate and strong business areas, with the potential for strong onwards development.

“Our ambition is to continue to grow faster than the market, and we are well prepared to do this, both through organic growth and via acquisitions.”

NYX Gains British Columbia Regulator Approval

Leading digital gaming provider NYX Gaming Group has announced that it has officially been granted “unconditional registration” as a Class B Supplier from the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GBEP) in British Columbia.

For the first time, NYX will now be allowed to deploy its gaming content in British Columbia.

OpenBet, the sportsbook technology business that NYX acquired in May 2016, was certified in Canada by 2012, holding partnerships with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), Loto-Québec and the Atlantic Lottery Corporation.

In 2016, the BCLC’s combined net win grew to CAD$2.36 billion, with 24% online gaming delivering growth.

NYX Gaming Group Chief Executive Matt Davey commented: “Bringing NYX Gaming Group content to market in a growing and highly regulated jurisdiction like British Columbia is evidence of the synergies we are driving through our integration with OpenBet. “

This news comes after NYX’s recent expansion into the Italian retail market. It was announced towards the end of October that the provider had secured a licensing agreement which granted NYX the right to distribute its gaming content to the Italian-based market.
