Unibet Launches their Poker 2.0 on December 1

Unibet, the Stockholm-listed online gambling company launches their biggest promotion to date with the release of Unibet Poker 2.0 which is scheduled to hit the market on December 1, 2016.

Unibet made the daring move back in February 2014 of moving away from Microgaming Poker network and launching its own stand-alone Relax Gaming powered poker network. Now the company celebrates the launch of its second version titled Unibet Poker 2.0 to its customers.

The ‘fastest growing online poker room in the world’ gave a sneak peek of the new software back in August this year at the Unibet Open in Copenhagen where they unveiled their new and improved one of a kind poker gaming experience. A closed beta testing was then done with a selected group of players to iron out any issues that may pop up. The original launch was October 3rd but it was pushed back to December to make sure everything ran smoothly ensuring the best quality and experience for their customers.

Their confidence and excitement in this new software have prompted them to go on a splurge with the promotion which will be accompanied by an ‘Around the World’ promotion that entails €250,000 handout in pre-Christmas goodies. The major prize here will be a two ticket, 28-day around the world trip giveaway with the winners flying business class to see the Seven Wonders of the World. The package has a value of over €35k.

The promotion goes on to have 33 players winning trips of a lifetime and a thousand other players receiving an array of goodies. These treats include live tickets to the Unibet Open Main Event where they will receive the opportunity of playing poker under the supervision of the Unibet Tournament Director and former World Series of Poker November Nine member, Kenny Hallaert.

The Unibet Poker 2.0 presents a software that is built mostly on HTML5 platform instead of Adobe Air like the first version which should reduce the crashes that were experienced in the first one. In addition to this, it boasts of a new loyalty scheme, integrated missions, improved graphics, multi-table options on mobile and tablet and lots more designed to please the Unibet poker player.

Head of Poker at Unibet, Andrew West stated in a press release: “Unibet Poker 2.0 was built from the ground up and designed to provide us with a foundation upon which we can seamlessly add in-game features to continuously provide the best experience possible for all of our players,”

“We’re looking forward to collecting feedback on the new software and hope that our players will see the potential for 2017 and beyond,” he said.

LeoVegas granted gaming licence in Denmark

Mobile gaming operator LeoVegas has announced that they have been granted a gaming licence for Denmark. The operator will now be able to provide their products to Danish players making them the first mobile operator to have operations in the local market. The launch is forecasted to take place during this autumn season.
LeoVegas has been focusing their energy on expansion and providing the best gaming experience and this expansion into another locally regulated market precedes this vision.

LeoVegas approach to their growth relies heavily on local, business-oriented teams which will set up the ideal prospects for a long-term and successful growth. This entrance in Denmark will be conducted with no major expansion of their current organisation. A local team has been put together in Denmark of industry experts in digital marketing and the Danish gaming market who will be responsible for the company’s operations there.

Group CEO and LeoVegas co-founder Gustaf Hagman states: “LeoVegas expansion continues, and it is gratifying to see how we grow in new markets. Our strategy to enter regulated markets or markets that are facing regulation seems like a winning concept. I am convinced that our market-leading mobile gaming product, data-driven marketing approach, and a strong, local team will help ensure a successful launch in Denmark, where no one has yet taken the mobile position.”

According to the data from H2 Gaming capitol, the Danish online gaming market has been estimated to be worth DKK 4.6 billion in 2016.

Currently, LeoVegas also holds licences in Malta and the UK.

BetConstruct launches Sportsbook with iJuego in Spain

BetConstruct, multi-channel gaming and sports betting solutions provider for the international gambling industry have confirmed the agreement to supply their sportsbook to the Spanish online gaming operator iJuego (iJuego.es). iJuego is a subsidiary of the major leisure and gaming group Comar Inversiones, SA.

Under the terms of the agreement between the operator and the provider, iJuego would now be able to provide its gambling customers the chance to bet on over 30,000 live sports events every month by utilising BetConstruct sports betting solutions.
Currently, the operator offers its players a variety of casino games, slot titles and table games and the addition of BetConstruct sportsbook to their portfolio would definitely be an enhancement and supplement the operator’s existing offers giving them more diversity.

This partnership between iJuego and BetConstruct was made possible due to BetConstruct securing a license by the Spanish Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling in 2015. This was done in order to provide their products in Spain’s regulated online gambling market when they entered the market with their first sports betting partnership then with retail gambling operator R Franco.

Product Manager at iJuego.es Manuel Paz had this to say: “We have gone through a tireless process of finding the best sports betting partner for the regulated Spanish market, and are happy to have iJuego.es partner with BetConstruct for our new sports betting platform. The new sportsbook will be an integral addition to our established casino and slots games. We expect to grow rapidly during the remainder of 2016 and beyond.”

Commercial Director at BetConstruct George Voyatzis endorsed Paz’s statement adding that iJuego is a very exciting brand in Spain and how the group Comar are very ambitious with their plans for the growth in the coming years.

He concluded by saying that they anticipate this new partnership with Group Comar as they will now be equipped with the market leading sportsbook of around 30,000 live events every month, and they also look forward to the growth and development of their sportsbook for the regulated markets within the next 12 months.

Rank Group projected to launch new Bingo Halls

The Rank Group has redirected their attention on focusing on the expansion of their Casino and Bingo Halls with a launch of  a new chain of Bingo halls following the fold on the bids for William Hill.

Rank has projected a new 100-club bingo chain that they hope will attract a new, younger crowd to what has traditionally been considered a dying game. CEO Henry Birch states that the new chain of clubs will be different from the currently existing Mecca Halls. This chain will also offer online games along with the traditional form of bingo.

Birch also insisted that despite the abandonment of the William Hill bid with 888, Rank definitely has a role to play in the gambling industry consolidation. He claims that the bingo brand could grow to close to 100 sites if successful which plans to also be accessible online.

These new chain of halls is believed to offer a modern take on traditional bingo experience. While the Mecca chain locations tended to be on the outskirts of towns and cities, Birch says that these new chains will center on “convenience gaming” and will be located in city centers and nightclub heavy locations. They will be smaller and more accessible for younger players.

Birch declined to reveal the name of the new chain but the Daily telegraph has reported that a Rank Group subsidiary has recently registered trademarks for ‘Luma’, ‘Luda’ and ‘Kuda’. These have been cited as probable names of the new brand.
Rank plans to open these ‘convenience’ sites to a test market in the early part of 2017 and they have planned further launches later in the year.
