Yggdrasil goes live in Italy later this year

Online and mobile casino games provider Yggdrasil Gaming has started the process of certifying their games and platform in compliance with Italian technical requirements with 11 of their titles which will be set to go live in Italy in Q2 of 2017.

Some of the games the Malta based company will be preparing for the Italian markets include Dark Joker Rizes, Vikings Go Wild and Holmes and the Stolen Stones.

Along with gaining access to games, operators will also have permission to Yggdrasil’s collection of in-game promotional tools, Boost, along with social sharing tool, Brag.

Italian operators have continued to be innovative on the mobile channel so they will also welcome Yggdrasil’s HTML5 iSENSE 2.0 platform that allows for smooth integrations and simultaneous releases on mobile and desktop.

CEO at Yggdrasil Fredrik Elmqvist announced: “It is about time Yggdrasil ‘crossed the Rubicon’ as Italy is one of the most exciting and fastest-growing markets in gaming.

“We already had a number of tier-one operators on our books who were active in Italy, so it really was a no-brainer to enter ourselves.

GoWild launches new igaming platform with 15 software suppliers

Swedish gaming company Cherry has announced their launch of XCaliber, a new fully independent gaming technology B2B business area. This centre of technical gaming innovation and service will allow Cherry to present and sell its innovative gaming platform and technology to operators and partners.

This expansion into a new business area will also create further shareholder value and growth while boosting Cherry’s position in the industry.

Unibet Launches their Poker 2.0 on December 1

Unibet, the Stockholm-listed online gambling company launches their biggest promotion to date with the release of Unibet Poker 2.0 which is scheduled to hit the market on December 1, 2016.

BetConstruct launches Sportsbook with iJuego in Spain

BetConstruct, multi-channel gaming and sports betting solutions provider for the international gambling industry have confirmed the agreement to supply their sportsbook to the Spanish online gaming operator iJuego ( iJuego is a subsidiary of the major leisure and gaming group Comar Inversiones, SA.

Under the terms of the agreement between the operator and the provider, iJuego would now be able to provide its gambling customers the chance to bet on over 30,000 live sports events every month by utilising BetConstruct sports betting solutions.
Currently, the operator offers its players a variety of casino games, slot titles and table games and the addition of BetConstruct sportsbook to their portfolio would definitely be an enhancement and supplement the operator’s existing offers giving them more diversity.

This partnership between iJuego and BetConstruct was made possible due to BetConstruct securing a license by the Spanish Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling in 2015. This was done in order to provide their products in Spain’s regulated online gambling market when they entered the market with their first sports betting partnership then with retail gambling operator R Franco.

Rank Group projected to launch new Bingo Halls

The Rank Group has redirected their attention on focusing on the expansion of their Casino and Bingo Halls with a launch of  a new chain of Bingo halls following the fold on the bids for William Hill.

Rank has projected a new 100-club bingo chain that they hope will attract a new, younger crowd to what has traditionally been considered a dying game. CEO Henry Birch states that the new chain of clubs will be different from the currently existing Mecca Halls. This chain will also offer online games along with the traditional form of bingo.

Birch also insisted that despite the abandonment of the William Hill bid with 888, Rank definitely has a role to play in the gambling industry consolidation. He claims that the bingo brand could grow to close to 100 sites if successful which plans to also be accessible online.

These new chain of halls is believed to offer a modern take on traditional bingo experience. While the Mecca chain locations tended to be on the outskirts of towns and cities, Birch says that these new chains will center on “convenience gaming” and will be located in city centers and nightclub heavy locations. They will be smaller and more accessible for younger players.

Birch declined to reveal the name of the new chain but the Daily telegraph has reported that a Rank Group subsidiary has recently registered trademarks for ‘Luma’, ‘Luda’ and ‘Kuda’. These have been cited as probable names of the new brand.
Rank plans to open these ‘convenience’ sites to a test market in the early part of 2017 and they have planned further launches later in the year.
