Online and mobile casino provider Yggdrasil Gaming has confirmed that is has been granted two Romanian OJNJ licenses, extending its European online games provisions.
The Cherry AB subsidiary has been granted licenses for online slots and operator provisions. Following a review of services, Romania’s National Gambling Office has cleared Yggdrasil for servicing slots and games provisions to licensed Romanian online gambling operators under a Category 1 license.
Yggdrasil Gaming is one of the first industry content providers to gain accreditation from ONJN, as Romania officially opened its gambling market to foreign operators in mid-2015.
Yggdrasil governance was pleased to strengthen its regulatory licensing, with the content provider having so bar been accredited by gambling authorities in Malta, the UK, Gibraltar and Romania.
Yggdrasil Gaming Chief Executive Fredrik Elmqvist said on the update: “It is fantastic news that Yggdrasil slots will now be available to customers in Romania.
“Gaining this license underlines our commitment to local and regulated markets. We are working hard to strategically expand our jurisdictional reach and expect to see our licensed European footprint continue to expand.”
