Yesterday saw the launch of the first AI recruitment chatbot by Sky Betting and Gaming called ‘Ask Jeff’. Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling has lent his face to the new virtual creation.
Presently, the company is the first to use an AI chatbot for candidate engagement to increase and support the recruitment experience.
‘Ask Jeff’ is current on Facebook as a means to respond to questions using the interactive buttons in chat on the applicant’s status, company culture, business locations, benefits and social opportunities.
‘Ask Jeff’ is the first Chatbot of its kind to be introduced into the sports betting and gaming industry, with artificial intelligence and natural language processing which provide applicants with 24/7 access to the recruitment process. It offers a responsive and interactive experience from the moment an application starts, right through to someone’s first day with the company.
Head of Recruitment at Sky Betting & Gaming Matt Hughan had this to say: “As a fast-growing tech company that during one eight-month period alone recruited over 600 people, we’ve been keen to look at where artificial intelligence can add value to our hiring process. Using AI and being able to link with media personality, Jeff Stelling will deliver a unique new experience for prospective employees.”
This AI launch has allowed the recruitment team to have more time to focus on supporting and advising recruits in the later stages of hire while also being a fun tool engaging candidates.
