President and CEO of the largest gaming company in Malta, Ulrik Bengtsson, has left his position.
The decision was made by the Board of Directors and Mr. Bengtsson who has chosen to step down immediately.
Until the recruitment of a new CEO, Pontus Lindwall will be taking place of the position. As a result, Patrick Svensk will be taking duties of Mr. Lindwall’s role as Chairman of the Board.
“Ulrik Bengtsson has done a good job for Betsson during the five years he has been employed by the Group. He has clarified the strategy and implemented significant product launches. On behalf of the Board and myself, I would like to thank Ulrik for his efforts,” Mr Lindwall commented.
The Board has begun the process of recruiting a new permanent CEO of Betsson AB. Meanwhile, Chief Commercial Officer of BML Group, Jesper Svensson has been designated acting CEO in Betsson’s branch in Malta.
