Wazdan’s Flash Mob From SiGMA Goes Viral

Wazdan’s flash mob got major coverage across the iGaming industry

The rapidly growing games producer Wazdan has been astonished at how their National Orchestra flash mob has been picked up by the iGaming industry and the wider community.

For the first day of SiGMA, Wazdan collaborated with Malta’s Philharmonic Orchestra to call attention to Maltese culture for City of Culture Valletta 2018. The company staged a spectacular flash mob while showing their own creativity as a major casino games’ producer with products covering slots, table games and video poker, launching the world-first real-time in-game ‘Volatility Level Control’. This feature allows players to control how they win in-game and is proving highly attractive to operators.

There were more than 60 people involved in the Wazdan flash mob. Professional dancers dressed in traditional Maltese costumes helped to make the event even more fun for the packed crowds, igaming people, businesses, government representatives, regulators, affiliates and press.

The flashmob was choreographed to the rhythm of Maltese composer Charles Camilleri’s “Malta Suite Waltz,” and inviting the crowd to join the dance and the wider move towards European City of Culture 2018 in Malta.

«We’re obviously delighted that the delegates at SiGMA not only enjoyed Wazdan’s bit of fun, and we’re even more delighted by the local and international reaction to the video, it’s been shared incessantly since we live-streamed last week from SiGMA,» said Ogilvy Malta Country Director Marcus Ward, who coordinated the production.

The story got major coverage in Malta’s national media as well as in the international iGaming media. The final release of the flash mob comes on the back of six figure viewing across social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and the media.

It’s great that we can help put Malta into a situation like this ahead of V18 with the video going viral, it’s a wonderful showcase for Maltese culture and talent. Wazdan fosters a spirit of creativity in our games development platform and we’re excited to collaborate on ventures that fit with our approach.”

Wazdan’s popular portfolio includes titles such as Magic Target Deluxe, Valhalla and Wild Guns, with new game releases of upcoming titles such as Los Muertos, Mayan Ritual and Captain Flynt.

Impressive results achieved by SiGMA 2017

Impressive results achieved by Sigma 2017 with stimulating panel discussions, spectacular displays and riveting performances.

The fourth edition of iGaming conference SiGMA has just concluded, showing a bigger and more involving formula than ever before. It attracted thousands of operators and iGaming professionals at the MFCC, proposing interesting industry trend discussions and plans for the future.

The multinational company BtoBet, sponsor at SiGMA 2017, surprised all attendees with its Technifying iGaming Tour 2017 and portal. It also amazed the public with an unprecedented dancing performance, where 5 international talented and flexuous dancers – Anna Armato, Georgia Evans, Liz Strini-Brown, Patrick Laera and Gianluca Blandi who is also the choreographer – were astonishing interpreters of the importance of a trusted and flexible technological partner to follow on the iGaming floor.

The concept expressed by the dancing show at SiGMA was further explained and discussed in Room A, dedicated to Sportsbook & eSports, where BtoBet’s chairman Alessandro Fried was the key speaker on the panel “Time to move to your own iGaming platform”. There he shared his vision about the importance of “collaboration” and “trust” for operators seeking platform providers that have the capability to aggregate all the available content while providing players with a seamless customer journey.

Commenting on operators’ needs, Fried highlighted: “Any decision to share player data – including names, personal data and preferences – must not be taken lightly, since this is giving insight into the heart of any operator’s business. For this reason, when choosing a technological partner and adopting software that has not been developed in-house but outsourced, it is crucial to consider only providers with an open, independent and foresighted approach.”

Fried concluded “A good technological partner is not only a software provider, but one that gives constant support to their clients through skilled and knowledgeable referrals, holds extensive knowledge of the industry, and helps operators to achieve objectives in a safe environment that cannot cause damage to their business.”

BtoBet’s Technifying iGaming Tour 2017 at SiGMA

Art and iGaming partnering for the first time in the industry at SIGMA

After the exclusive technology meetings worldwide – in Latin America, Africa and Central–Eastern Europe – BtoBet is now bringing its Technology iGaming Tour 2017 to the heart of the Mediterranean region.

During SIGMA, the international iGaming Summit in Malta, a special insight into the contemporary and future needs of the igaming industry will be revealed by BtoBet’s chairman Alessandro Fried as a speaker at the technology talks planned during the summit.

To feed your anticipation, download the Industry Report “Platform: in-house or outsourced? Trusting times.”

At SIGMA, the multinational company is going to be once again a visionary and forerunner of change. In fact, for the first time in the gambling industry, BtoBet will bring an unprecedented show, mixing technology, art and music. How? By performing a spectacular metaphor, creating a meaningful parallelism between the igaming industry and the dancing spheres where harmony, balance, knowledge, trust and flexibility are essential to cement a relationship, allowing partners to stay tuned to the rhythm of the relative scenarios and succeed. Hence, in the same way partners must trust each other while dancing, sustaining their bodies and following the guide-steps of the choreography, at the same pace operators must totally trust their technology software providers to let them guide the gambling business in the best way.

Technifying iGaming Tour 2017

Commenting on BtoBet’s participation in SIGMA, Eman Pulis – founder and CEO of Summit of iGaming Malta – highlighted, “We are very pleased to welcome BtoBet’s totally new presentation at SIGMA this year. It is a farsighted software provider for the igaming industry and I firmly believe all the attendees will be amazed by the content and the style of its exclusive and breathtaking technology-show.”

About the Technifying iGaming Tour 2017- Malta, BtoBet’s CMO Sabrina Soldá concluded, “I wish to thank SIGMA promoters who always support us. BtoBet is aiming to communicate the importance of a trusted technological partner to follow on the iGaming floor in order to let operations dance to the rhythm of the highest tech beat. I’m sure the novelty we are proposing at the MFCC during the upcoming week will leave the operators and all the attendees completely surprised and amazed at the same time.”

Edward de Bono, inventor of ‘lateral thinking’

The summit will

  • bring together innovation stakeholders under one roof to discuss, share and learn real-world experiences, ideas, trends and best practices in innovation,
  • put the limelight on innovative initiatives around us – all types of innovation not just the typical consumer technology,
  • identify gaps where we can improve in being more innovative,

and it will do this at 3 levels:

  1. international, national level
  2. organisation level
    1. being it an established organisation
    2. or a startup
  3. at a person level – we need to first be innovative ourselves before expecting everyone and everything else to be innovative.
