Corinne Valletta joined Betsson Group in May 2017, taking up the role of Head of Regulatory Affairs and Group Compliance. She is responsible to oversee all licensing and compliance activities in the various regulated markets where Betsson Group has obtained a licence, as well as to manage regulatory risk and advise the Group on the same. Corinne also coordinates Betsson’s lobby efforts on a local and international level, participating in local and global organisations to maintain close relations with the various players in the industry.
Corinne has been following international affairs in the gaming industry for a number of years. She previously held the position of Head of EU and International Affairs at the Malta Gaming Authority, where she participated in the European Commission’s Expert Group for Gambling Services and other similar fora. She is particularly interested in the horizontal influences on regulation of the industry such as anti-money laundering, anti-sports corruption and data protection.
Corinne graduated Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2009 and obtained her Masters Degree in Computer and Communications Law from Queen Mary University of London in 2011.
